What are credits?
Credits are used each time a user verifies their identity to access one of your protected links. Different verification types use different amounts of credits.
Do unused credits roll over?
Yes, unused credits roll over for up to 12 months from the date they were added to your account.
How do one-time verifications work?
For KYC, email, phone, age, and bank account verifications, users are only charged the first time they verify. After that, the same user can access your links without being charged again for that verification type.
What are free verifications?
Password Protection, Self-Destructing Links, and Time-based Access are completely free and don't consume any credits, regardless of your plan.
Do you offer a free trial?
Our Starter plan is free forever with limited features. You can use this to test our service before upgrading to a paid plan.
What happens if I run out of credits?
You can purchase additional credits at any time. If you run out, your links will still work, but new verifications will be paused until you add more credits.
How does payment gating work?
Connect your Stripe account to enable payment gating. Set custom prices for your links, and users pay to access your content. You receive 95% of payments directly, while LinkShield takes a 5% platform fee (Coming Soon).
Do I need a Stripe account for payment gating?
Yes, you need to connect a Stripe account to receive payments. This ensures secure payment processing and direct payouts to your account.
What are the payment processing fees?
LinkShield takes a 5% platform fee from each payment. Standard Stripe processing fees (2.9% + 30¢) also apply. You receive the remaining amount directly in your Stripe account.
Can I combine payment gating with verification?
Yes! You can require both payment and identity verification for maximum security and monetization. Users must complete both steps to access your content.
